Lake Kivu is the largest of numerous freshwater bodies Rwanda Valleys. It straddles the border between western Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Lake Kivu is a favorite get-away for Rwanda residents (Families and Friends) and none residents / tourists relaxing days on the beach. A number of water activities take place among them include; kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing and beach volleyball. You can take a leisurely ride along the western shoreline of the country on the “Munezero” tourist boat from Gisenyi to Kibuye to Cyangugu, a trip you surely will never forget. Another boat ride takes you to the Hot Springs and the coffee Island.
